Good stay for what I needed but this is party hostel, very loud but expected
I stayed in a private room and really only went there for work as other hotels in center have useless wifi. Nice neighbourhood, really big house so it has a lot of space and areas. Wifi was pretty strong. Friendly staff and guest, kitchen serves ok food. Pool area is really nice to relax!
Bathrooms are sub par, some don't even have running water from the showers, they don't have any cocktails or a lot of things shown in the photos.

Overall, we enjoyed our time in Santa Marta!
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the pool area was very nice. Since we are mostly a group of Australians, we appreciated that we could order potato wedges with sweet chilli and sour cream. Tough to get that outside of Australia!
Unfortunately, our room smelled like fish, and the a/c didn't work (the remote wouldn't adjust the temperature so we ended up freezing). We were only there for one night and didn't spend much time in the room so never mentioned it. Hostel could do with a good coat of paint and some small touch-ups.
